candle held over music at Christmas Eve

Christmas at Prince of Peace

We invite you to worship with us this Christmas! Come join us as we rejoice in the joy of Jesus’ birth and the peace that comes from God’s love, God’s presence, and God’s forgiveness.

Christmas Eve Children’s Services at 3 pm and 5 pm
Our first two services are especially designed for families with small children. We read the Christmas story, place the figures in the Nativity scene and sing some favorite Christmas carols.

Christmas Eve Carols and Holy Communion at 7 pm and 10 pm
Our other Christmas Eve services include the singing of Christmas carols, Holy Communion, and candlelight. We feature our choirs and special instrumentalists to add special music to our celebration of Jesus’ birth!

Christmas Day at 10 am
Our Christmas morning service also includes Christmas carols and Holy Communion, with different Bible readings and a different sermon from Christmas Eve.

Sharing Hope

How can you give more hope? Participate in the Gifts of Hope program. These gifts support the mission and programs of area Lutheran social ministry organizations, camps, college or seminary, and our Synod’s companion synods abroad. Your Gifts of Hope purchases will bring hope to others while you honor those on your gift list. Gifts of Hope can be purchased at POP during Advent after services and online throughout the year.

Providing Christmas Gifts for needy children in our local community. You can make a child's Christmas special by providing a gift for Christmas. The City of Gaithersburg sponsors the program, and this year we are working with Rachel Carson Elementary School to provide a happy Christmas for students there.
