Pastor Steve Buechler, Senior Pastor

Pastor Steve Buechler is a graduate of the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, and was ordained by the Metropolitan Washington DC Synod in 1991. Since 2002, Pastor Steve has served Prince of Peace. His ministry at Prince of Peace focuses on worship, outreach, Confirmation ministry, stewardship and administration.  In 2009, Pastor Steve travelled to many biblical sites during his sabbatical ( you can read more about his learning and experiences on Pastor Steve’s travel blog), and again in 2013.   He enjoys teaching about his experiences there; and, he recently led  a trip to the Holy Land  in October of 2019!

Danielle Drobny, Music Coordinator

Danielle Drobny received her B.A. in Music Performance and Education from Greensboro College, and has served at Prince of Peace since August 2005. As the music coordinator and accomplished pianist, she plays piano for our 8:30am Sunday contemporary service, the organ for our Sunday 11am traditional service and accompanies our band, Grace Notes, on the keyboard. Danielle also directs our youth Hand Bell Choir. She works full time as the music and performing arts teacher/chapel coordinator at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac, MD. Danielle also works as the Saturday evening pianist at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Washington, DC. In her spare time, she teaches private piano and maintains a large piano studio.

Martha Rogers, Administrative Secretary

Martha staffs our office from 9:30 am – 1:30 pm Tuesday – Thursday.  She also monitors our email at other times, so please reach out by email if you have a question:  office@poplutheran.org.

Claire Cho, Saturday Service Pianist

Claire Cho has served at Prince of Peace since July 2005 as our Saturday service pianist and formerly as our Adult Choir Director. Prior to coming to Prince of Peace, she was the Music Director at Christ Lutheran Church, Youth Orchestra Conductor at Global Mission Church, Music Director at Baltimore Presbyterian Church. Claire was also a faculty member at Peabody Preparatory School teaching Violin Performance, and a faculty member at Columbia University teaching Violin Pedagogy and Orchestra Conducting. Claire has earned a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Violin Performance from the Peabody Conservatory. Currently, Claire is a Ph.D. candidate in Music and Music Education (minor in orchestra conducting) from Columbia University in New York City.
