Connecting with others
Jesus formed his first disciples into a community and empowered them, through word and deed, to share that relationship and community with one another and others in the world. Jesus calls us to do the same.
We enjoy spending time together and invite others to join with us! We have a variety of small groups that get together regularly, including both Women’s Book Group and Men’s Book Group.
We have a number of special events throughout the year that help everyone to bond and have fun together, including especially our annual Yard Sale; our Shrove Tuesday Pancake supper and other big meal events; periodic Coffeehouse events featuring special music; and our popular Tables for All adult fellowship program in which potluck meals are shared in our homes with other members of Prince of Peace.
We also care about making use of our church community and our fellowship together to share and partner with others in our wider community.
For example, Prince of Peace hosts three Narcotics Anonymous groups each week (Mondays at 7:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall; Wednesdays at 6:30 pm in the Youth Center & Saturdays at 6 pm in the Fellowship Hall.)
And, each week our Quilting Group gathers to make quilts, which are distributed to those in need throughout the US and the World through Lutheran World Relief.
